         The unit will provide administrative and service support to HHSG, PA. Subsequently, clean and green program including the daily ground maintenance of HPA retention area were enhance interms of cleanliness and beautification. Support services were provided to serve those who are serving.

         Together, we support our government peace initiatives and programs for us to attain the gains of Army Transformation Roadmap.




    HISTORY

           

    THE CREATION OF HEADQUARTERS SERVICE BATTALLION

         The HHSG, PA whose mission is to provide administrative, security and service support for HPA and to function as station complement of fort Andres Bonifacio under the leadership of BGEN FELIPE G TABAS JR AFP as the Post Commander, noticed the insufficient capabilities of the Headquarters Service Company in maintaining the administrative support to HPA and other units inside post.

         In lieu to these needs, BGEN TABAS have come- up with the creation of HEADQUARTERS SERVICE BATTALLION (PROVISIONAL) To meet the increasing needs of service in the HHSG, PA and other units inside post. Thus, on 16 June 2009, Headquarters Service Battalion (Provisional), HHSG, PA was activated.

         The creation of HSBn (P) is likewise in expendable for reason that it caters the maintenance, beautification of the camp and other needs which is vital for HPA complex being the station complement.

    LINEAGE OF COMMANDERS:

         LTC VINCENT C BAHIA 0-9163(GSC) PA  Was the first battalion commander per GO Nr 219 dated 26 June 2009  and led the unit for only four (4) months from 16 June 2009 to September 2009 .later on he was relieved and reassigned to HSC, GHQ Camp E. Aguinaldo, Q.C.

         When he was relieved as CO, HSBn (P)  per GO Nr 395 dated 02 September 2009; the leadership was the turn–over to MAJ JAMES GLENN M BALAINO O-11077 (CAV) PA  as Officer–In–Charge (OIC) effective same date-02 September 2009 up to 16 October 2009 as per GO Nr 461 dated 15 October .

         After MAJ BALAINO AS THE OIC, MAJ GERALD D RICO O-124851 (CE) PA replaced and assumed as Actg CO, HSBn, (P) on 16 October 2009 until 15 March 2010. The relief of LTC RICO to the position of CO, HSBn on 15 March 2010 paved the way to LTC BALAINO  to lead unit from 15 March 2010 up to 16 November 2011 as per GO Nr 30 dated 16 March 2010 and GO Nr 324 dated 20 December 2010 respectively.

         Further, on 16 November 2011, another change of command had conducted when LTC BALAINO was relief and designated MAJ REMIGIO A DULATRE O- 127175 (INF) PA as CO, HSBn (P) per GO Nr 338 dated 16 November 2011. Prior  to that, he was the former Deputy G3, HHSG, PA when the position was entrusted under his leadership.

         On February 24 2016, LTC APOLLO B HERRERA O-12032 ( INF) PA the Asst Chief of Staff for  Operation, G3, HHSG, PA in addition to his duty replaced and assumed as Officer–In-Charge, HSBn (P) per  GO Nr 55 dtd 22 Feb 2016 when LTC DULATRE was go on schooling to take-up  CGSC for his career advancement.

         On 13 June 2016, LTC HAROLD V SUCAYRE O-129990 (CAV) PA is designated as Officer-In–Charge, HSBn, HHSG, PA per GO Number 183 dtd 9 June 2016, when LTC HERRERA was confined at AFP Medical Center due of kidney Cancer.

         HSBn (P) collectively caters all services needed in support to the over–all mission HHSG, in which HSBn (P) solely mission is to provide administrative service to HHSG  and other unit inside post and to maintain clean and green environment within fort Bonifacio complex.

         The three (3) Line companies and (1) OPCON office of the HSBn (P) and their mission:

         1. Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHCo) - That which caters the administrative service for the offices and personnel of HPA with the leadership of their energetic and very kind commanding officer MAJ ERWIN B LIBNAO (INF) PA.

        2. Headquarter Service Company (HSVCo) – that provides the man power services and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the whole HPA areas under the command of their very industrious commander CPT ABEN- SAAB S ABSARI (MI) PA.

        3. Transportation Company – who caters the maintenance of mobility assets of HHSG, Units inside post and authorized civilian vehicle in the leadership of their very responsible officer MAJ ALWIN M MALATE (FA) PA and,

        4. Solid Waste Management Office - was activated on 27 January 2007, Pursuant to the authority of CG, PA under GO# 246 HPA and sooner on 01 February 2007 created as branch under the functional supervision of OG7, HHSG, PA, it was upgraded into office on 01 Dec 2007,as Special Staff of Commander, HHSG, PA, to primarily administer the overall management of the Ecological Solid Waste Program within 103 Hectare retention area.

         On 01 Jul 2012, the office was further place under the functional supervision and operational control of HSBn, HHSG, PA pursuant to Operational Directive Number 01 dated 16 June 2012, to continuously protect the health of those who live and work inside the Philippine Army retention area to save from harm in the environment with the full supervision and good leadership of their current Chief of Office MAJ JONATHAN G AGUINALDO (INF) PA.

    is the Unit categorization under Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group, Philippine Army.

    A round shaped  with yellow  color - represents  the unity of command  with pride to provide service support to  Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group, Philippine Army and other Unit inside post.

    A round shaped with olive green color - Represent  the traditional color of peace associated  with the units mission statement to maintain clean and green environment Within HPA Complex.

    Carabao Head – Symbolized the over-all tasks of the Unit as the working force of  HHSG in the maintenance of cleanliness & orderliness of the whole HPA Complex and source of manpower for various tasks from Higher Headquarters.

    The Laurel Leaf - Symbolized Unit professionalism to perform its duties and responsibilities with standard of excellence. 

    The Battle Cry “BE STRONG” with Red color -  represents the Unit’s courage and strength to accomplish mandated tasks.

    Open Book – Symbolizes the Headquarters and Headquarters Company that provides  administrative service to personnel assigned at HPA.

    Shovel and Pick Mattock – Symbolizes the Headquarters Service Company that maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of Sector Alfa area, HPA Complex. 

    Wheel and Open Wrench – Symbolizes the Transportation Company that caters all the Transportation service and provide repair and maintenance of mobility assets of the Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group, Philippine Army and other Unit’s inside Post.

    MISSION
        
         To provide administrative, security and service support to Headquarters Philippine Army and to function as station complement of Fort Bonifacio.

    • Provide command, control and supervision of the operations of organic and attached unassigned personnel.
    • Provide unit level administration support to assigned and attachedelements of the unit.
