Army troops joined the Annual Marian Procession

    The Grand Marian Procession of the Intramuros Administation and Confradia de la Immaculada Concepcion is the largest and the grandest religious parade of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This parade takes place every first Sunday of December at Plaza De Roma at façade of the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila which highlights the procession of hundreds of images of Mama Mary. It is an annual devotion in Honor to the Feast of the Immaculate Concepcion. For this year, they celebrated its 39th edition of this prestigious devoutness to our Blessed Mother last Sunday, 2 December 2018.

    The Armed Forces of the Philippines played significant role during the Marian Procession. For the past 39 years, it provided escorts, security and medical support to make the event peaceful and sacred. In line with this, personnel from Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group dutifully participated the procession. The event was led by BGEN LEOPOLDO IMBANG AFP from the Army.  Its main objective is to establish good rapport with the active partners and community and to sustain gains in shaping public opinion.

    Thousands of Marian devotees from all over the country joined this grand event. The parade starts at about 1500H and was completed on 2200H. Troops from the Army showcased its support to religious activities and in promoting tourism. Sacrifices, Faith and Devotion made this event possible.  It was truly an honor to be part of this religious festive for we have commemorate and gave admirations to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
