HHSG provides support to Ompong victims

    HPA, FBMM- Last 15th day of September 2018, almost 32, 000 families were affected in the onslaught of the typhoon Ompong (Mangkhut). Northern Luzon Regions specially Cordilleras and Cagayan Valley are the most affected areas hit by the typhoon.

    The Philippine Army sustain its effort by way of transporting relief goods and basic services to the victims of the calamity. Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group has provided support efforts during the relief operation in the areas of Pangasinan, Baguio, Isabela and Cagayan. A total of 4 trucks from the Army Support Command loaded with relief goods and other subsistence will be distributed to the evacuation areas thereat.

    Apart from the delivery of goods to the affected areas, the HHSG’s Disaster Response Unit (DRU) are also in alert with the rescue and monitoring of the situation on the ground. The troops are ready to respond in any assistance needed and will give prompt provisions of assistance especially on the isolated areas and sites that might need of clearing.
