Two of HHSG’s civilian employees and a boni-aide were given Long Service Pin and Plaque of Appreciation award during the conduct of flag raising ceremony last 24th September 2018. The Philippine Civil Service Commission holds this annual activity in PA to recognized the priceless contributions of non-uniformed personnel in the military. In line with the 118th Founding Anniversary of the PCSC, three of the HHSG’s pride were among its awardees.

Mr Alex Bacaba is currently the Administrative Aide VI of Transportation Company, HSBn. He was a mechanic of said unit. Mr Bacaba takes pride in his service as he enjoys the good camaraderie bestowed not just among the personnel of TRANSCO but also to his co-workers whom he draws inspiration from.

Mrs Gloria Baldovino started her career as an employee in 1977. While working in the Army, she braved to study at same time. “Ate Glo” as everyone call her has been to different offices and units inside HPA. She was then encouraged to be a soldier but declined the offer as she prioritized to continue her studies and graduated in BS Secretarial Administration Degree at Adamson University.  Currently, Mrs Baldovino is assigned at the office of AC of S for Operations, G3 of HHSG.

Monica Pedrera was a worker of the camp since 1978. “Ate Monica” is believed to be the most senior among all boni-aides in HPA. She started working in the army as boni-aid since she was only 24 years old. She was hailed as the Most Outstanding Civilian Personnel 2018 during the 57th Founding Anniversary of the Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group.

Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group awardees continue to diligently perform their roles and responsibilities in the Philippine Army for over four decades now. Truly, we salute “Kuya Alex”, “Ate Glo” and “Ate Monica” for their dedication and loyalty not only in the Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group but to the Philippine Army as a whole.
